Anukul Roy was born on 30 November 1998, Saraikela-Kharsawan, Jharkhand, India. He was very keen about it from a young age and made a point of polishing his skills. His family nurtured his dream of becoming a professional cricketer. Working hard and showing up in age group cricket, he worked his way up State and National ranks. He found his way when he got a call to play for India under 19, where he showed selectors he could perform well with his spin bowling and his ability to play a meaningful role with the bat.
