Fatal road accident in Jhansi.
Aban Ahmed, the youngest son of gangster Atiq Ahmed, died in a tragic road accident in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday. He was travelling from Prayagraj to Jhansi Jail to meet his elder brother Ali Ahmed, who is in judicial custody.
The accident took place in the Poonch police station area of Jhansi when the speeding car crashed into a road divider. The impact of the collision was high and the front of the vehicle was badly damaged.
Three people killed, three injured
The accident took three lives: 20-year-old Aban Ahmed and three others in the same vehicle were seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital.
Mohammad Zaid and Omar are among those who were injured and are now receiving medical treatment. Doctors are monitoring their condition.
Police begin investigation
The police arrived soon after the accident and took the injured to the hospital. The cause of the crash is being investigated.
It is early reports that the driver lost control of the speeding vehicle before it hit the divider. All the causes of the accident are being investigated.
Who was Aban Ahmed?
Aban Ahmed was the youngest son of murdered gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed. Aban and his brother Ajam Ahmed were sent to a juvenile home after the Umesh Pal murder case as they were minors.
In October 2023, both brothers were released from the juvenile home and placed with their aunt. Since then they have lived away from the public attention.
Journey ends in tragedy
Aban Ahmed was going to meet his jailed brother Ali Ahmed when the fatal accident happened. What started as a family visit ended in tragedy with three people killed and several others injured.
Police are still investigating and will release more details once they have concluded the investigation.
