A wild leopard walked straight into a liquor shop in Rajasthan in broad daylight. And what happened next was caught on camera.

The shocking CCTV footage is now going viral on social media. It shows a leopard suddenly running inside the store and jumping on a man standing near the counter.

What Happened Inside The Shop

The video shows the leopard sprinting toward an unsuspecting man and attacking him. The big cat then starts mauling him near the counter.

But the man, 25-year-old Sanjay Gurjar, kept his calm. He pushed the leopard away and ran toward the exit.

“As I ran, I pulled the shutter down. Then I lost consciousness,” Sanjay told the Sun.

By shutting the door, he trapped the leopard inside the store. This saved others outside.

Another man, 40-year-old Fateh Lal Koli, was also attacked. Reports say a third person was attacked by the same leopard.

5-Hour Rescue Operation

After the attack, the 5-year-old male leopard was locked inside for nearly 5 hours. 

Wildlife experts reached the spot and finally tranquilized the leopard with a dart and rescued it safely.

People online are calling Sanjay’s quick thinking “brave” and “life-saving”. The CCTV clip shows how fast the attack happened and how dangerous wildlife encounters can be.

Officials are now checking why the leopard entered a populated area.
