Bhumi Pednekar Drips Heritage in Stunning Paithani Saree
Bollywood star Bhumi Pednekar infused the MaTa Samman Maharashtra Awards in Mumbai with tradition on March 13. On Instagram, an attractive image showed the actor wearing a gold zari Paithani saree along with a pink blouse and fine traditional jewellery. She captioned, “Last night I was draped in a bit of my heritage as I won my first award for Daldal.”
The Heritage Look
Bhumi selected a Paithani saree made from real gold zari from the revivalist label Pankaj S Heritage. The orange silk saree has delicate floral embroidery on the pallu and borders, demonstrating centuries-old Marathi crafting.

Jewellery: Lotus hasli set with rubies and polki, traditional bugadi, septum ring, statement earrings, kada, half-moon bindi, and Maratha royalty-style scroll bag.
For this high jewellery set, the lotus motif was created, which was one of the signature features of Paithani sarees.
Hair & Makeup
Hair: Slicked-back, centre-parted bun.
Makeup: Muted brown eyeshadow, mascara-coated lashes, defined brows, blush, highlighter, soft contour, and glossy fuchsia pink lips.

Bhumi wore the saree styled by Bidipto Das and Junni Khyriem and draped it in a modern Gujarati fashion, with pleats at the front and the pallu slung over the shoulder to emphasize gold work.
