Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years as the head of a government.
Fadnavis shared a series of social media posts and an audio visual tribute on the occasion, showering praises on the Prime Minister for his 25 years of 'Seva', 'Leadership' and 'Bharat First' approach.
'25 Years of Putting Bharat First'
Sharing the audio-visual tribute, Fadnavis wrote, "25 Years of Seva. 25 Years of Leadership. 25 Years of putting Bharat First."
The Maharashtra Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister's 25 years in politics has been full of courage, conviction and commitment as he faced various challenges as the leader of the country including natural disasters, terror attacks, COVID-19, border tensions and global economic crisis.
He added that PM Modi has been successful in overcoming these challenges with his conviction and focus on the larger interests of the country.
In another post, Fadnavis wrote, "When true Seva becomes a way of life...", adding that PM Modi has been committed to public service with his deep sense of compassion and commitment.
From Gujarat CM To Prime Minister
The Prime Minister's political journey as the head of a government started on October 7, 2001 when he took oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He remained as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for over 12 long years before leading the BJP to victory in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
PM Modi took over as the Prime Minister of India in May 2014 and has been heading the government since then. He has been re-elected thrice in a row.
Fadnavis shared some graphics on social media, highlighting the 25 years achievements of the Prime Minister in various fields such as infrastructure, investment, digital empowerment, welfare, defence, industry, financial inclusion and global leadership.
Cabinet Resolution Marks Milestone
The Union Cabinet earlier passed a resolution congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years as the head of a government.
The resolution spoke of the 'Nation First' and 'Citizen First' philosophy of the Prime Minister and took note of various initiatives from his Gujarat days till his time as the Prime Minister of India.
The Cabinet resolution listed various schemes launched by PM Modi such as SWAGAT (a portal to register grievances related to public services in Gujarat) and PRAGATI (a shared platform for the Union and State governments to discuss and find solutions to stalled projects and clear pending issues).
The resolution also mentioned the initiatives taken by the Prime Minister in the field of renewable energy, digital initiatives, welfare schemes, infrastructure development, defence and financial inclusion.
Modi Reaffirms Commitment To Service
PM Modi himself marked the occasion by visiting the Shri Vinayaka Mandir in Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi and offered his prayers.
On the occasion, Modi reaffirmed his commitment to public service saying that he has been working selflessly for the last 25 years since he took over as the head of a government.
