New Delhi (India) February 28:Following weeks of escalating tensions between Iran and the US, Israel stepped in on Saturday and launched what it described as preventative strikes in Tehran. Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said the attack was carried out to remove threats and declared a state of emergency.

Netanyahu: Joint Strike Ends Iran's Nuclear Threat

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also responded to the joint attack with the US on Iran, stating that it was aimed to “remove an existential threat posed” by the country.
“This murderous terrorist regime must not be allowed to arm itself with nuclear weapons that would enable it to threaten all of humanity. Our joint action will create the conditions for the brave Iranian people to take their destiny into their own hands,” Netanyahu said.

Trump Vows to Destroy Iran's Missile Factories

President Donald Trump confirmed Saturday that Israel conducted strikes in Tehran with US assistance and vowed to “raze” the country’s missile industry to the ground.
The announcement comes amid diplomatic tensions and discussions of a potential nuclear agreement between Iran and the US.

The Israeli military announced on Saturday that it was continuing strikes on military targets in Iran, including missile launchers in the western part of the country.
In a statement, it claimed to have struck hundreds of Iranian military targets, including missile launchers in western Iran, and to be detecting and intercepting threats fired from Iran towards the State of Israel.

Iran Vows Revenge, Claims Right to Retaliate

Iran’s Foreign Affairs Ministry on Saturday said it would make its aggressors “regret their actions” and declared it is “fully prepared to defend” the country, in its first statement since the United States and Israel launched attacks earlier in the day.
The Ministry said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran considers this aggression a clear breach of international peace and security and emphasises that it reserves its legitimate right to respond decisively.”
The ministry added, “The Iranian nation has always demonstrated patience and restraint to prevent escalation and preserve regional stability.”
