Indias aviation sector just got a boost. The Noida International Airport in Jewar started its flights on Monday. The first flights went to Lucknow and Bengaluru. There was also a flight for local farmers who went to Lucknow.

The special flight for farmers was actually an idea of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He wanted the farmers to be able to travel to Lucknow and meet him.

The airport has security systems like AI-based surveillance. There are also 1,030 CISF personnel to keep the airport safe. The Uttar Pradesh Police has a police station inside the airport.
