Mom-to-be Sonam Kapoor has already begun preparing for a baby and was recently spotted in Mumbai while shopping for baby clothes. Featuring effortlessly chic maternity style, the actress made it evident that pregnancy fashion can be comfortable and stylish at the same time. Dressed in all white, Sonam once again laid major maternity fashion aspirations for moms preparing.

Decoding Sonam Kapoor’s pregnancy look

Sonam had recently stepped out in a custom creation by designer Dhruv Kapoor styled by her sister Rhea Kapoor and celebrity stylist Sanya Kapoor. On Instagram, Rhea shared glimpses of the look, captioning the post: “Werking Mother.”

Sonam’s breezy cotton clothing included a crisp white shirt paired with a contemporary maxi skirt that had a structured silhouette. She wore a collared neckline, full-length sleeves and padded shoulders in a tailored fit with the front buttons open from the bust down to highlight her baby bump. A matching maxi skirt, with a low-rise waist, a relaxed balloon silhouette and ankle-grazing hemline, matched her fit perfectly. She finished the look with white ballerinas, statement gold rings, a green shoulder bag, aviator sunglasses and traditional jhumkas.

The styling

For her hair, Sonam went for a messy twisted updo, allowing a few strands to frame her face. With minimal makeup, she wore feathered brows, soft blush, a little mascara, winged eyeliner and a rose-pink lip shade.

Sonam Kapoor’s second pregnancy

Now 40, Sonam is about to embark on motherhood for the second time. In November, she revealed her pregnancy in a stylish move of her own, wearing a pink outfit inspired by Princess Diana. The news was quickly followed by an avalanche of positive comments from fans and filmmakers around the world.

Sonam married businessman Anand Ahuja in 2018, and the couple welcomed their first child, son Vayu, in 2022.
