Chasing 211/6 set by India, Pakistan could manage only 192/6 as the host team retained its first place in the tournament.

India's men's team added another gold medal to the country's medal tally in Asian Games in Japan.

It was followed by a convincing victory by Indian women's cricket team against Sri Lanka with a huge margin of 147 runs in the final.

Meeting happens a day after India lost to West Indies

The meeting between the Prime Minister and the players took place a day after Indian men's cricket team lost by 24 runs against West Indies in fourth T20 International in Hyderabad.

The defeat left the five-match series tied at 2-2 with the final match yet to be played.

West Indies captain Shai Hope remained unbeaten on 102 off 50 balls as the visitors scored 247/3.

In reply, chasing 248, India's Sanju Samson scored 56 but a five-wicket haul by Keemo Paul restricted the hosts to 223.

Although India's defeat in the bilateral T20I series is a setback, their gold medals in Asian Games are a proud moment for the country.

Both the teams from India have returned from Japan as continental champions after winning the Asian Games.
