Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 8 : The Pan-India Best Boiler User Awards 2026 will be presented on 10 October, the concluding day of Boiler India 2026, at the CIDCO Exhibition & Convention Centre, Navi Mumbai. Shri Akash Fundkar, Maharashtra Labour Minister and Guest of Honour, will be part of the event. 

Supported by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, the awards recognise boiler-user companies across power, manufacturing, processing and other boiler-using industries.

Applications have been received from organisations such as Asian Paints, Hindustan Unilever, GMR Warora, Adani Power, Tata Power, Jindal Power, Reliance Industries, ITC, Castrol India, Pernod Ricard, Patanjali Foods, Kwality Walls, Lloyds Metals, Nature’s Delight, Indapur Dairy, Parag Agro Foods, Suryalakshmi Cotton Mills, Shri Renuka Sugars, Suguna Foods, Chitale Foods, TJ Marine Products, Manjira Sugar, Malu Paper Mills, Gajanan Agro and hundreds more. The participation reflects the awards’ relevance across sectors including power, food and beverages, FMCG, sugar, paper, metals, chemicals and process industries.

Entries are being evaluated by a Central Jury on their boiler operation and performance practices, and the selected companies will receive their awards at the exhibition. The presentation is scheduled for Saturday, 10 October.

Six Categories

Nominations were invited across six categories covering the range of boiler use in Indian industry:

  1. Power Plants
  2. Captive / Co-generation: Steel, Cement, Chemical, Petrochemical and Distilleries
  3. Sugar Factories
  4. Pharma / Chemical / Dairy / Hotels / Food
  5. Textile Process Houses / Edible Oil / Paper / Ordnance / Distilleries / Animal Feed / AAC Blocks
  6. Sizing / Rice Mills / Other Small Industries, including SIB-type Boilers

The structure allowed participation from large power and manufacturing facilities as well as specialised process plants and smaller industrial units.

Focus on Boiler Operation

Steam and thermal energy underpin sectors such as power generation, sugar, pharmaceuticals, textiles and food processing. The awards focus on the companies and plant teams that operate and manage these systems. Participation allowed companies to have their practices evaluated on a common national platform, while the awards also provide wider industry visibility into boiler operations across sectors.

About Boiler India 2026

Boiler India 2026, organised by Orangebeak Expos, runs from 8 to 10 October at the CIDCO Exhibition & Convention Centre, Navi Mumbai. The three-day international event will be inaugurated at 10:00 AM on 8 October, with Shri Akash Fundkar, Maharashtra Labour Minister and Guest of Honour, attending the event.

The exhibition brings together 250 exhibitors and more than 20,000 trade visitors, including plant heads, maintenance engineers, procurement managers, EPC consultants, and safety and compliance professionals. It will also host 18 knowledge sessions on compliance, decarbonisation, safety, efficiency enhancement and innovation.

The event is supported by the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India, and Maharashtra’s Directorate of Steam Boilers, along with industry associations including the Indian Pulp & Paper Technical Association, the Indian Speciality Chemical Manufacturers’ Association, the Association of Healthcare Providers (India), the Northern India Textile Research Association, the Sugar Technologists’ Association of India, and the Material Recycling Association of India
