Days after leaving the BJP Shehzad Poonawalla made an attack on Rahul Gandhi. Made a guess about his chances of becoming Prime Minister of India. A former spokesperson for the BJP Shehzad Poonawalla has again criticized the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He said that he does not think Rahul Gandhi will ever become the Prime Minister of India.
On X Poonawalla wrote, "Rahul Gandhi will never be PM of India while I am alive." He also said, "Tareeka badla hai, maqsad nahi " which means the method has changed but the goal remains the same.
These comments came after he left the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which started a conversation about politics on media.
Shehzad Poonawalla Makes Another Attack on Rahul Gandhi
Poonawalla was reacting to a post that said he was still attacking the Congress even though he left the BJP. He used this chance to say another thing against Rahul Gandhi.
The former BJP spokesperson has been a critic of Rahul Gandhi for years. Interestingly Poonawalla started his career with the Congress.He joined the party as a volunteer around 2008. Later worked with the National Students Union of India (NSUI). He also served as secretary of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee. His time with the Congress ended in 2017 after he criticized the partys presidential election process.
Why Did Shehzad Poonawalla Leave Congress?
Poonawalla said the Congress presidential election was not fair and that the process was arranged to help Rahul Gandhi. After he left the Congress. Joined the BJP in 2017.
Since then Poonawalla has often attacked Congress leaders, Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.After leaving the BJP his new comments show that his criticism of Rahul Gandhi has not changed.

In another comment Poonawalla talked about former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Said that Rahul Gandhi had helped Narendra Modi win elections.He wrote that Rahul Gandhi had made it possible for PM Narendra Modi to win in 2014, 2019 and 2024. He also believed Modi would win again in 2029.
This statement got a lot of attention online with people reacting to Poonawallas attack.
Why Did Shehzad Poonawalla Leave BJP?
Poonawalla said he gave his resignation to BJP national president Nitin Nabin and asked for it to be accepted.He said he left because of reasons. According to him his political work did not earn money to meet his needs.
When he talked about his decision Poonawalla said he needed to look for jobs and move to the sector.He also said that the pressure of work had become too hard to handle calling it a job that never ends.
Poonawalla had been thinking about leaving or looking for a job in the sector since 2024.
Will Shehzad Poonawalla Go Back to Congress?
After leaving the BJP Poonawalla has said he does not want to join another party now.He also responded to talk about going to Congress and repeated his criticism of the Gandhi family.
Earlier Poonawalla had said he would only join Congress if Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were removed from leadership.He later said some Congress leaders misunderstood his words as a way to come back.
