Mumbai police brought the three accused in the firing incident of the Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff from Rajasthan’s Kota to Mumbai in the early hours of Wednesday, 21 October. The accused Phool Singh, Hrithik Kumar and Rehan were taken to the GT Hospital for mandatory medical checks before they were brought to the Anti-Extortion Cell for questioning. Meanwhile, Delhi Police arrested four more people – including two women – for their alleged role in supplying the weapon and ammunition used in the attack.
Three Accused Brought to Mumbai from Kota
The three accused were arrested in Kota following the October 18 firing incident in Juhu area of Mumbai. They allegedly opened fire at a vehicle carrying Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, leaving his driver injured, while Tiger escaped with no direct injuries from the bullet.
The Mumbai Police team took the accused by road after they decided to opt for ‘Plan B’ – after they had not travelled by overnight.
They arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday and after medical examination at GT Hospital, they were taken to the Anti-Extortion Cell. Investigators are expected to question them on the circumstances surrounding the shooting, the alleged conspiracy and if there were other suspects.
Four More Arrested Over Alleged Weapon Supply
In the meanwhile, Delhi Police Special Cell arrested four more people on Tuesday for allegedly supplying the weapon and ammunition used in the attack. The accused have been identified as Kunal, 21, Sumit, 19, Radha, 23 and Babita, 23.
Kunal and Sumit were arrested in Haryana’s Sonipat and Radha and Babita at New Delhi Railway Station.
According to Delhi Police, the two women allegedly travelled to Mumbai with a pistol and ammunition. A minor boy apparently collected the bag near their hotel in Dadar. Investigators are examining the alleged supply and the roles of others, including Anil Pant, who is suspected of coordinating the operation.
Investigation Focuses on Wider Conspiracy
The four accused were officially arrested by a Maharashtra Police Crime Investigation Department team and given three-day transit remand for their travel to Mumbai.
With the arrests spanning across multiple locations, investigators are trying to find out how did the weapon reach Mumbai, who planned the attack and if there were more people involved. The investigation into the firing incident and its wider connections continues.
