Arun Yogiraj’s wife talks about their six month ordeal - “ It was difficult”

Yogiraj, who has been in the public eye since Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted the 'Pran Pratishtha' event at Ayodhya on Monday and revealed the face of the child Lord Ram, claimed he was only carrying out Ram Lalla's instructions when he was creating the idol."Mere lalla ne mujhe aadesh diya, maine follow kiya (Lord Ram gave me the order, and I just followed it)," Yogiraj said.

Arun’s wife tells how tough it was fo stay away from him for six months

The six months that Arun Yogiraj, the sculptor of Lord Ram Lalla's idol in Ayodhya, had been away from home, had been a trying time, according to his wife, who spoke on Wednesday.

Speaking to PTI upon Yogiraj's return to Bengaluru after the 'pran prathishtha' ceremony in Ayodhya, Vijetha said, “He (Arun Yogiraj) had to face a lot of challenges (during the last six months) but he overcame incredibly well. For me (too) it was difficult (staying away from him for six months) to take care of kids alone. We don’t have any future plans, whatever comes next, we are going to take it wholeheartedly and do it with dedication.”

Yogiraj described the last seven months as particularly challenging as he contemplated how to complete the idol. "I had to ensure that the idol adheres to the Shilpa Shashtra, representing a five-year-old form of Lord Ram, capturing the innocence of a child," he said. 

Arun recieved a warm and joyous welcome in Bengaluru 

On his arrival in Bengaluru on Wednesday, Arun Yogiraj, the sculptor of the Ram Lalla idol that adorns the recently built Ram Temple in Ayodhya, was greeted with great affection. The Ayodhya Temple Trust selected his idol as one of the final three.“I have no words for the love people are showing me. I am so indebted to God for this opportunity. The stone used for making the idol of Lord Ram is from Mysuru district. I think it is Lord Ram's blessing that I got the opportunity,” ANI quoted Arun Yogiraj as saying on Wednesday.“I am the luckiest person on earth. The blessings of my ancestors, family members and Lord Ram Lalla have always been with me. Sometimes, I feel like I am in a dream world. This is the biggest day for me,” he added.

As soon as Yogiraj landed at Kempegowda International Airport, a throng of BJP supporters came to release garlands upon him. They flung flowers at him while shouts of "Jai Sri Ram" and "Long Live Yogiraj" floated above.

The Ram Lalla Idol details 

A rock that is three billion years old was used to create the 51-inch monument of Lord Ram Lalla. The sculpture's azure-colored black schist, or Krishna Shile, came from Gujjegowdanapura in Jayapura Hobli, HD Kote Taluk, Mysuru. Because of its smooth surface, this sky-blue, fine-to-medium-grained metamorphic rock is also called soapstone. It is perfect for sculptors to use when creating idols.

The idol is adorned with Banarasi fabric, donning a yellow dhoti and a red 'pataka' or 'angavastram.' The 'angavastram' is embellished with pure gold 'zari' and threads, showcasing auspicious Vaishnav symbols such as 'shankh,' 'padma,' 'chakra,' and 'mayur.'
