Before the Lok Sabha elections, Bhim Army chief Chandrashekar Aad has been given Y plus category security. According to sources in the Union Home Ministry, this security has been given to the Bhim Army chief on the basis of the IB report. Now commandos will always be deployed for their security. 11 commandos are deployed for the security of Y Plus category, in which 5 static police personnel stay in and around the houses of VIPs for their security. Also, 6 PSOs provide security in three shifts.
Chandrashekhar Azad has announced to contest elections from Nagina Lok Sabha seat. He has filed his nomination papers from here recently. After which he had received threats a few days ago. He had given this information to the UP Police. The police had sent its report to the central government.
A fatal attack last year
Chandrashekhar has been attacked before and has also received threats on social media. He has also complained about this to the police and has asked for security. There was a fatal attack on Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad in June 2023 in Deoband, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. There was a lot of anger among his supporters due to this attack. Supporters were continuously demanding from the Central Government to provide security to Azad. He also demonstrated many times for this. In this matter, Chandrashekhar had also written a letter to the Union Home Ministry demanding security.
Y plus category security
In this type of security, 11 commandos of armed police are deployed, in which 5 static police personnel stay in and around the VIPs' houses for security and 6 PSOs provide security in three shifts.
The 'Yellow Book' of the Home Ministry's security contains details of different categories of security. It has been told how many security personnel are engaged in protecting VIPs in each category. This Yellow Book includes Z Plus, Z Category, Y Plus Category, Y Category and X Category.
Contesting election from Nagina seat
Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad has filed nomination from Nagina Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh, reserved for Scheduled Caste. From here, Surendra Pal is contesting from BSP while BJP has shown confidence in Om Kumar. Even before filing the nomination, Chandrashekhar is very active in this field and is continuously doing public relations. After getting security, Chandrashekhar will remain under constant security.
The first leader of Saharanpur to get Y+ category security
National President of Azad Samaj Party Chandrashekhar Azad is the first leader of Saharanpur, who has been provided Y Plus category security by the Central Government. Earlier, former MP Raghav Lakhanpal Sharma has been provided Y category security. This security was removed from him in the year 2019. In the past, many Ministers of State, Cabinet and Union Ministers were from the district, but no one was provided such security.
In the year 2017, caste violence took place in Shabbirpur. There was also one death in the violence. Chandrashekhar had launched a strong protest against this incident. Chandrashekhar Azad had established the Bhim Army to protest against the oppression and social discrimination of Dalits and conducted many movements in favor of Dalits and backward people through the organization. Since then he is counted as a big leader of Dalits.
