The global spectacle of Animal, which had already amassed a noteworthy Rs 660 crore by Saturday, has now officially crossed the vaunted Rs 700 crore threshold, setting a new benchmark for contemporary film successes.

In a surprising turn of events, Animal’s second Sunday triumphs over Shah Rukh Khan’s formidable blockbusters, Pathaan and Jawan.
