Cristiano Ronaldo, a Portuguese professional football player has registered a new achievement, not on the football field but in the digital realm. The 39-year old footballer was awarded with three YouTube play buttons - Silver, Golden and Diamond, within 24 hours of launching his YouTube channel.

YouTube is a space which is dominated by content creators like Mr. Beast, celebrities like Justin Bieber and influencers like PewDiePie who have more than 70 million followers to their name. Ronaldo’s presence on YouTube was highly anticipated by his fans but no one knew that he would gain more followers in millions this fast. Ronaldo’s global fan base is already proven as he has 636 million followers on Instagram, making him the most followed person on Instagram worldwide.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s YouTube channel is named - “UR • Cristiano.” Till August 23, 2024, Ronaldo’s channel has gathered 29.2 million subscribers and has uploaded 19 small duration videos which ranges from 27 seconds to 3 minutes 24 seconds. The most number of views on his video is 23 million views with 2.4 million likes. According to YouTube, Cristiano Ronaldo joined YouTube on July 8, 2024 and has collectively gathered more than 121 million views. 

In What Duration Did Ronaldo Receive Play Buttons?

Reportedly, Cristiano Ronaldo received Silver Play Button in 22 minutes of launching his channel. Silver play button is awarded when a channel receives 100k subscribers. Ronaldo then received golden play button in 90 minutes of launching the channel. Golden play button is awarded when the channel receives 1 million subscribers. In just 12 hours of launching the channel, Ronaldo achieved a diamond play button. Diamond play button is awarded at achieving 10 million subscribers. The news of Cristiano Ronaldo launching his YouTube channel spread like a wildfire. News channel and his fans promoted Ronaldo’s channel by talking about it which was also a reason of gaining millions of followers in a few hours. 

Ronaldo Revealed Golden Play Button

In the latest video of Cristiano Ronaldo on his YouTube channel, he revealed the golden play button to his kids. The video was titled, “The golden button…for my golden kids.” When Ronaldo revealed this golden play button to his kids, they couldn’t believe their eyes and were in awe of the button. His kids were also seen kissing and touching the golden play button with utmost respect.
