The Delhi Police addressed the rumours, saying, "Some media channels and social media handles are showing an animal image captured during the live telecast of the oath-taking ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan yesterday, claiming it to be a wild animal. These facts are not true, the animal captured on camera is a common house cat. Please don't adhere to such frivolous rumours."

Despite the police clarification, speculations continued on social media. Some people were convinced it was a leopard, which created controversies since Rashtrapati Bhavan is one of the most secure places in India.

Official Clarifications

A Delhi Police official clarified there are only dogs and domestic cats inside the complex. The Forest Department also confirmed there were no reports of a leopard at the presidential estate.

Oath Ceremony Details

The oath-taking ceremony, known as Modi 3.0, was conducted by President Murmu. She administered the oath of office and secrecy to 72 ministers, including 30 cabinet ministers, 36 Ministers of State (MoS), and 5 MoS with independent charge. Key figures like Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, and S. Jaishankar continued as Cabinet ministers. The new Council of Ministers also includes 11 ministers from NDA alliance partners.
