As the Lok Sabha elections for 2024 have concluded and the results have just been declared, everyone is discussing the elections. Every single news channel and influencer is currently focused solely on the Lok Sabha elections and its results. However, amidst all this, nobody is talking about the NEET 2024 results. We want to bring it to your attention that the NEET 2024 results are trending, and students are dissatisfied with them. Many students are angry and alleging that the results are fraudulent. The NEET 2024 results were announced 10 days earlier than expected.
Students Dissatisfied with Results
On social media, students are claiming that there has been fraud in the results. Additionally, many students are mentioning that the issue of the NEET paper leak was never addressed by the NTA (National Testing Agency). Many students are asserting that scoring extremely high marks like 718 or 719 in NEET is impossible due to the NTA’s marking criteria, which includes negative marking.
Here’s What NTA said
According to a recent post shared by the National Testing Agency (NTA), scoring 718 or 719 marks is possible in NEET (UG) 2024. Here’s what NTA shared:
“The NTA received a few representations and court cases from candidates of NEET (UG) 2024, raising concerns about the loss of time during the examination conducted on 05.05.2024.
These cases and representations were reviewed by NTA, and the normalization formula, which was devised and adopted by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in its judgment dated 13.06.2018, was applied to address the time loss experienced by NEET (UG) 2024 candidates.
The extent of time loss was assessed, and affected candidates were compensated with grace marks. Therefore, candidates’ scores can indeed be 718 or 719.”
Students calling it Unethical
Students are calling it unethical and alleging fraud against them. They demand justice, stating that NTA is not addressing the issue of paper leaks. Despite claiming that scores like 718 or 719 are possible due to grace marks, they question why NTA did not address the leak issue. Some even suggest that NTA has lost its grace.
