3rd June 2023, Mumbai: In a recent development, Sidharth Bhardwaj, a popular celebrity known for his appearances on reality shows like Splitsvilla 2 and Bigg Boss 5, has opened up about his departure from Mohit Suri’s highly anticipated film, Ek Villain. According to Sidharth, he decided to leave the project due to his exhaustion from conforming to the stereotypical portrayal of angry young men in Indian cinema. Seeking a fresh start, he made a bold move and relocated to the United States, where he embarked on a new career path as a stand-up comedian.
However, Sidharth’s claims were met with contradicting statements from director Mohit Suri. Denying any validity to the accusations, Suri labeled Sidharth’s conduct as “highly unprofessional” and refuted the notion that the actor was given an insignificant role in Ek Villain. Disputes arose surrounding the altered plotline and differing information provided to Sidharth, leading to a breakdown in communication between the actor and the director.
It Is worth mentioning that Ek Villain, released in 2014, garnered positive reviews from critics and achieved moderate success at the box office. Starring Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh, the film was well-received by audiences. However, when the sequel to this much-anticipated movie hit the screens last year, it failed to replicate the same level of excitement and failed to create a similar buzz among viewers.
Sidharth Bhardwaj, after making his Bollywood debut with Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi in 2014, decided to pursue his passion for stand-up comedy and established himself in Los Angeles, USA. His stint on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 6 further showcased his versatility as he continued to explore different avenues in the entertainment industry.
