17 August 2023, Mumbai: SEVENTEEN fans have reason to rejoice as member Seungkwan is all set to make a comeback in the group’s upcoming October release. Earlier in July, Seungkwan had taken a break from his activities due to health-related concerns, which led him to miss the group’s FOLLOW concert in Seoul. However, the recent report from Scoompi has confirmed that Seungkwan will be rejoining his fellow members for their much-anticipated October comeback.

Seungkwan focusing on his Recovery

While the exact date of his return is still under discussion, Seungkwan’s agency, PLEDIS Entertainment, has stated that the artist is focusing entirely on his recovery. The agency is in talks with Seungkwan regarding his return timeline, with the expectation that he will be back by September at the latest, ready to meet his fans again.

SEVENTEEN’s Remarkable Journey

SEVENTEEN, a K-Pop group consisting of thirteen members, including S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino, made their debut in 2015. The group’s recent achievements have been remarkable, especially with the release of their tenth extended play “FML” on April 24, 2023. The EP garnered a staggering 4.6 million pre-orders, setting a new record for the most pre-orders for a K-Pop album at that time. The album featured hit singles like “Super” and “F**k My Life.” Post-release, it secured the title of the best-selling K-Pop album in history, achieving 3.9 million first-day sales and reportedly 4.5 million first-week sales.

In July, SEVENTEEN held their “Follow” concert at the Gocheok Sky Dome over two days, further solidifying their popularity and influence. Seungkwan’s Hiatus and Return Seungkwan’s hiatus, as explained by his agency, stemmed from a visit to the hospital due to feeling unwell. Following medical advice, it was determined that Seungkwan should take the necessary time to rest and recover. While Seungkwan expressed his determination to continue with his scheduled activities, the agency prioritized his health and recovery, leading to his absence from events such as the Tencent Music Entertainment Award (TMEA) 2023, a fan signing event in China, and the SEVENTEEN TOUR “FOLLOW” TO SEOUL.

As SEVENTEEN fans eagerly anticipate the group’s upcoming comeback in October, the news of Seungkwan’s return adds to the excitement and anticipation for what’s to come.
