“Fighter”: Enters Final Shooting Schedule at Yash Raj Studios!

22nd May 2023, Mumbai: The much-anticipated Hindi movie, “Fighter,” directed by Siddharth Anand, has entered its final major shooting schedule at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. With Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, and Anil Kapoor leading the cast, the film promises to captivate audiences with its thrilling storyline and stunning visuals.

Over the next 15 days, the filming will take place against the backdrop of Indian Air Force bases and offices, adding a sense of authenticity to the movie. This comes after the crew completed the climax scene of the film in April, which lasted for an entire month. Touted as India’s first aerial action movie, “Fighter” showcases the talent of Siddharth Anand as both the director and co-writer alongside Ramon Chibb and Abbas Dalal. Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan will portray Indian Air Force pilots, bringing their characters to life with their exceptional performances. To create a realistic setting, a dedicated set has been constructed at the Andheri studio to replicate an air force base. Additionally, The lens captured the mesmerizing exteriors of Tezpur Air Force Station in city Assam so as the Indian Force Academy in city of Dundigal, Hyderabad, unveiling stunning visuals for “Fighter.” The current shooting schedule primarily focuses on interior shots and important dialogue sequences. The production designer, Rajat Poddarr, and his team have meticulously built an expansive set resembling air force bases, offices, and classrooms, meeting the Director of Photography Satchith Paulose’s vision.

Sources reveal that the shooting for the latest schedule commenced on Sunday. Alongside the lead actors, Karan Singh Grover will also be shooting his respective portions separately for the next two weeks. “Figher” marks Siddharth Anand’s next project following the blockbuster success of “Pathaan,” which grossed a staggering Rs 1000 crore internationally and Rs 500 crore domestically. Known for his hit films like “Bachna Ae Haseeno,” “Bang Bang,” and “War,” Siddharth Anand is set to deliver yet another cinematic masterpiece. Once the current shooting schedule concludes, Hrithik and Deepika Padukone will shift their focus to filming the dance sequences, including two songs. Siddharth Anand has allocated approximately five days for these dance numbers, followed by a five-day shooting schedule in Mumbai.

Looking ahead, in October, the director plans to capture more sequences inside a fighter plane, incorporating visual effects into the scenes. Simultaneously, post-production work will be underway. Working diligently to wrap up the shoot by November, Siddharth is committed to delivering the film by January 25th, 2024, for its theatrical release. Originally scheduled for a theatrical release on September 30, 2022, the film encountered indefinite production delays due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the perseverance of the cast and crew ensures that “Fighter” will soon take flight on the big screen. Last November, Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor were seen at Air Force Station, Tezpur, Assam, during the filming of the movie. Alongside Assam and Mumbai, the film has also been shot in Hyderabad and Jammu & Kashmir, further enriching its visual appeal and diverse locations.
