7th September 2023, Mumbai: Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ has been a force to be reckoned with at the box office, even as it faced stiff competition from Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan.’ On the day before ‘Jawan’ hit theaters, ‘Gadar 2’ managed to rake in a respectable ₹2.80 crore on its fourth Wednesday. This brings the film’s total collection to an impressive ₹508.97 crore.

‘Gadar 2’ has had a successful 27-day run in theaters since its release on August 11, despite facing competition from other big releases like Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’ and Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer.’ The film crossed the ₹500 crore mark on its fourth Sunday and is on track to potentially surpass the Hindi collection of ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ at the domestic box office. However, it may face a formidable challenger in Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan,’ which hit theaters on Thursday.
Veteran actor Dharmendra Wishes All the best to Jawan
Even as ‘Gadar 2’ faces competition, veteran actor Dharmendra, father of Sunny Deol, extended his best wishes to Shah Rukh Khan for the release of ‘Jawan.’ He expressed his warm regards on social media, writing, “Shah Rukh, Bete (son), wish you great luck for ‘JAWAN.'” The outcome of this clash between ‘Gadar 2’ and ‘Jawan’ remains to be seen.
Rajveer Deol gearing up for his film debut.
In the midst of Sunny Deol’s comeback to the film scene, his son Rajveer Deol is also gearing up for his film debut. The trailer for his film ‘Dono’ was recently unveiled. This film marks the acting debut of Poonam Dhillon’s daughter Paloma and the directorial debut of Sooraj Barjatya’s son Avnish. ‘Dono’ is set to release on October 5, adding another dimension to the Deol family’s cinematic legacy.

Gaurav Chopra revealed the dedication he put into his role, including gaining 9 kilograms of weight, intense training, and living with real-life army officers to understand the nuances of his character.
