Despite the years passed, Imtiaz Ali’s masterpiece remains incredibly popular. The enchanting connection between Aditya D. Kashyap (Shahid) and Geet Dhillon (Kareena) continues to capture hearts. To commemorate this special milestone, Shahid shared nostalgic moments from the film, celebrating 16 years of “Jab We Met.”
Shahid Kapoor’s Heartfelt Tribute: Celebrating 16 Magical Years of ‘Jab We Met
Some time back, Shahid Kapoor posted on Instagram, sharing glimpses from the movie Jab We Met, featuring a compilation of scenes. In the video’s audio, Shahid can be heard expressing, “This film is special for me because I had not done a film for almost six months and everybody kind of put their blood and sweat into this film.”
Accompanying the clips, the actor penned in the caption, “Special occasion toh hai (It’s indeed a special occasion) (hand heart emoji) #16YearsOfJabWeMet.”
Fan Reactions Pour In
Upon Shahid’s release of the video commemorating 16 years of Jab We Met, fans swiftly responded. One fan expressed, “This movie was like a journey which we traveled through the time.” Another commented, “Still this make the classic of all time.” A third user wrote, “Mera Aditya (red heart).” “16 Years Of Madness One Of Best Movie Of Bollywood And One Of The Best Classics Of All Time Songs To Bhaiya Aaj Bhi Sunte Hai Hum,” shared another. Another comment read, “Aditya the one and only fictional character I fall for every time.” “Not just a film it’s an emotion,” read the 6th person.
During an interview with Film Companion, Shahid Kapoor revealed his struggle to wear glasses in Jab We Met. He shared, “I fought with everybody. I was like, ‘I want to wear glasses for this,’ and everybody’s like, ‘Are you mad?’ Hero glasses thodi pehenta hai? Tu gaana kaise gayega?” (Hero does not wear glasses, how will you sing?)”
He clarified that he would take off the glasses during singing and dancing scenes.
Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Jab We Met features Shahid and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles.
