In a 2002 interview, Kishore Kumar’s son, singer Amit Kumar, recalled his father’s final day. According to Amit, Kishore had a sixth sense about his death. At the age of 58, the actor-singer died of a heart attack.
On August 4, 1929, Kishore Kumar was born. Kishore eventually ‘found happiness’ with performer Leena Chandavarkar, according to his son Amit in an old interview. Between 1980 and 1987, the pair married. Kishore Kumar previously married actress Madhubala. Amit recalls Kishore making a joke about having a heart attack on the day he died in the same interview.

He was experiencing symptoms of a heart attack but joked that if we called a doctor, he would have one. He was laughing and talking with Leena when he fell. “At first, Leena felt he was making a joke,” Amit Kumar told Rediff in 2002.
