After being questioned on Thursday by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police questioning her link to imprisoned conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, Bollywood actor Nora Fatehi declared in front of the police that she was a “victim of the scheme” and not the “conspirator.” Fatehi was questioned regarding the 200 crore money laundering case at its Mandir Marg headquarters for at least six hours. Pinky Irani, who was also questioned by the EOW, reportedly introduced Sukesh to the Bollywood celebrities Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi.
While being questioned by the police, Nora demonstrated screenshots of her conversations with Sukesh, claiming that she was a “victim of the scheme and not a conspirator” in the case.
She spoke in-depth about her attendance at the “charity” event in Tamil Nadu, alleging that Super Car Artistry organised it and that Afsar Zaidi, the promoter of Exceed Entertainment Private Limited, had invited her.
When questioned who paid for her trip and other expenses, she identified herself as Leena Paul and indicated that, to the “best of her knowledge,” she owns Nail Artistry.
Nora further denied assertions that she insisted on a BMW 5 Series car in order to make it to the event. Although she originally declined the gift of the car, according to the actor, it was truly presented to her as a “symbol of love and charity.” She also informed the authorities that Leena had handed her an iPhone and a Gucci bag during an event, as well as connected her with her husband, who Leena claimed was a “huge fan” of Nora. She insisted that was the only time she ever found out she was getting a gift of a BMW.
Earlier on Wednesday, when Jacqueline Fernandez appeared before the economic crimes division, Pinky Irani questioned her. According to a report from ANI, Jacqueline and Pinki Irani got into a verbal confrontation while being questioned by Delhi police.
Sukesh supposedly started out merely trying to fool Nora, but when that didn’t work, he tried to get in touch with Jacqueline.
According to an ANI report, Jaqueline thought about getting married to Chandrashekhar because she was so impressed and influenced by him. She reportedly referred to him as the “man of her dreams.”
The Special Police Commissioner (EOW), Ravinder Yadav, told ANI that despite being aware of Sukesh’s criminal record, Jaqueline has additional challenges because she hasn’t ended her association with him. Nora, however, interrupted herself when she picked up on an oddity.
