15th March, Mumbai: On Monday morning, the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, hosted the 95th annual Oscars. For the third time, comedian Jimmy Kimmel served as the event’s host for the star-studded occasion. Like every year, celebrities walked the first-ever champagne-colored carpet in elegance. The celebrities delivered on the fashion front, wearing everything from eye-catching, sparkly outfits to bright colours.
With a sculptured purple Moschino gown and a Bulgari serpenti necklace, Angela Bassett exuded royal beauty. Bassett was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Queen Ramonda in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, so the regal ensemble was appropriate for the occasion. Michelle Yeoh wore a stunning white Dior dress without sleeves, accessorised with a sparkling headpiece and hanging earrings that matched. For her performance in the film Everything Everywhere All at Once, she was awarded Best Actress.
On the Oscars red carpet, Cara Delevingne evoked the elegance of classic Hollywood. With a crimson Elie Saab gown and Bulgari jewellery, she looked magnificent. Her entire appearance was enhanced by the thigh-high split on her one-shoulder dress.
With a stunning black Alaia gown, Rihanna showed off her growing baby bulge. The all-black outfit had a full-sleeved top made of sheer mesh with a turtleneck and a leather bralette placed underneath. Tamara Ralph’s cut-out gown with a high waist slit on Halle Berry had her looking ethereal. She accessorised the look with hoop earrings, gold rings, and platform heels.
Brendan Fraser, who took up the Best Actor award for his performance in the movie The Whale, looked sharp in a black tuxedo with a bowtie.
In honour of his Indian heritage, Ram Charan chose a bandh gala produced by Shantanu and Nikhil. He also created a badge with buttons as a tribute to the Indian freedom fighters.
