20th May 2023, Mumbai: Rumours of Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 started soon after Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 16 ended with MC Stan hoisting the trophy as the champion, with speculative names of hosts and competitors circulating. Filmmaker Karan Johar served as host of the show’s inaugural season, which debuted in 2021. Divya Agarwal was named the season’s winner. Salman Khan is preparing to star in the second season of the digital reality show, which is currently in production, and Pinkvilla has learned that he is already filming the trailer.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed by the sources that Munawar Faruqui, Zaid Darbar, Jiya Shankar, Shivam Sharma, and Rajeev Sen are among the celebs that have been contacted for Bigg Boss OTT 2. “Salman Khan has agreed to host Bigg Boss OTT as he really loves the show, and will shoot for the promo today in Mumbai’s Film City studio. Season 2 is expected to go on air in June. Preparations for the promo shoot have begun, while the team is also in the process of roping in the contestants,” informs a source close to the development.
Nishant Bhat, Shamita Shetty, Raqesh Bapat, Divya Agarwal, Pratik Sehajpal, Neha Bhasin, Millind Gaba, and Zeeshan Khan were a few of the participants on Bigg Boss OTT Season 1. Shamita and Raqesh had fallen in love while filming the reality series, but they broke up a few months later.
Additionally, although the premiere date for Bigg Boss Season 17 is not yet known, some of the competitors on that season included Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Abdu Rozik, Ankit Gupta, Priyanka Choudhary, and Shalin Bhanot.
