Producer Binaiferr Kohli: What I see different in 2023 in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai is that there is a new plot moving with time, addressing new issues in a light-hearted way
The audience have huge hopes from Binaiferr Kohli’s longest running TV show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai! in 2023. Happy with the constant love the show has been getting from the viewers, the producer spills some beans along with giving much needed insight into the importance of leaps.
“What I see different in 2023 in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai is that there is a new plot moving with time, addressing new issues in a light-hearted way. There is always a new situation in life moving ahead with the generations. These new developments will add to the entertainment quotient,” she says before going into the basic TV soap requirement.
Binaiferr starts by explaining why leaps are needed. “They are needed for a change. If things are stagnant or things are not going well after 5-6 years then leaps are must. Also, if a role is stagnant, freshness is again the need of the hour,” she adds.
Not just big leaps, small leaps are equally important therefore incorporated. They are also required to add freshness.
“Leaps are basically for regular dramas, not as much in comedy. But yes they are incorporated if it’s the need of the hour to revive freshness or to rectify a problem with the storyline. I see a lot of fresh new ideas coming in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai with the new problems and new humorous twists and turns. In Happu Ki Ultan Paltan there are children and as they grow up they will have their teenage problems. The elder daughter might get married. As the characters grow, their problems and solutions also change,” she shares.
