3rd June 2023, Mumbai: Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan are the main actors in the film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. The movie, which was directed by Laxman Utekar, got off to a slow start in the morning hours but gathered up steam across the country in the second half, making it a respectable start.

According to sources, the movie had a respectable box office debut of Rs 5.50–6 crores net on Day 1 of release. This is what Zara Bachke Zara Hatke means for Vickey, After Uri: The Surgical Strike, this film secures Vicky’s second-largest opening in a leading role. In addition, it Is Sara’s fourth-largest debut after Kedarnath, Love Aaj Kal, and Simmba.

The fact that both actors’ most recent films were exclusively released on digital platforms and that they were still able to draw large crowds to theatres proves that actors can still command a strong theatrical pull even when their films are exclusively released on digital platforms, provided the combination is just right and there is enough to keep viewers interested.

Hatke, Zara Prior to its premiere, Zara Bachke had sold about 22000 tickets through the three national chains. At the end of day 1, the three national chains’ first-day collections totaled about Rs 3.35 crores nett. PVR contributed Rs 1.54 crore, Inox contributed Rs 1.11 crore, and Cinepolis contributed Rs 70 lakh of the total of Rs 3.35 crore. This is wonderful news because the budget and average ticket prices of the Vicky-Sara starrer are substantially lower than those of medium-sized flicks like Shehzada and Selfiee this year. Before the epidemic, these numbers would have been written off, but in the post-pandemic world, they are highly respectable and lend the movie a certain level of credibility.

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke succeeded in raising Rs 3.35 Crores alone from national chains in India. The budget of the Vicky-Sara starrer is reportedly far smaller than that of other films of the same genre that have been released. If the pattern holds, the movie could see an opening weekend between Rs 22 and Rs 25 crores.

In the movie, Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal will portray a married couple who are considering divorcing because they believe their relationship has reached a dead end. Dinesh Vijan and Jio Studios have supported it. The script for the Maddock Films production was written by Ramiz Khan, Maitrey Bajpai, and Laxman himself.
