15th February, Mumbai: ZEE5, India’s largest home-grown video streaming platform started 2023 treating the fans by releasing back-to-back Bengali shows and movies. Post the massive success of Shikarpur and Roktokorobi, the platform announces the launch of its third web-series – Shwetkali staring Oindrila Sen, Sourav Chakraborty, Saheb Bhattacharjee, Arindam Ganguly, Debdut Ghosh, Devlina Kumar, Samadarshi Dutta, Swagata Basu and Rishi Koushik in the lead roles. Directed by Sani Ghose Ray and Produced by Snigdha Basu & Sani Ghosh Ray, the mystery thriller series follows the story of Urvi and Palash and the puzzling scenarios that unfold.
Premiering on February 24, the show follows the intriguing story of Urvi and Palash’s families and what happens when they arrive at Kharapani Mansion to celebrate their engagement. As the house starts getting prepared for the upcoming engagement ceremony, a wall breaks and there emerges the eerie idol of a white kali…Shwetkali. Shwetkali is the story of love lost, betrayal, and hidden truths about zamindars behind the doors of a dark mansion. What happens next will shock you but what unfolds post that are a series of events that leads to the riveting truth behind it all.

My character in Shwetkali – Urvi is strong-headed and fun-loving person who can fight against all odds. When the script of Shwetkali came to me, it was an immediate yes for two things – one as it’s directed by Sani Ghose Ray and secondly the personality of the character. Urvi has opened a lot of doors for me, and it has given me an opportunity to learn new things about myself which I have not done before.
