Gaurav Taneja Hits Back at Samay Raina Over Offensive Jokes on India's Got Latent

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India] February 10: YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, also known as FlyingBeast, has taken aim at comedian Samay Raina in the midst of a controversy about an inappropriate joke made by podcast host Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, on his web series India's Got Latent.

Also, Allahabadia, comedian Samay Raina, social media star Apoorva Mukhija, commonly known as The Rebel Kid, and the show's organisers have been sued for using "abusive language" on India's Got Latent.

The argument started when Allahbadia, who has featured a number of politicians on his podcast and was named PM Modi's Disruptor of the Year last year, asked a contestant if they would rather spend their entire lives watching their parents have sex or join them once and quit it.

Social media users and other YouTubers and artists took offence at the joke. In an X post, he tagged the comedian and wrote, "Lagta hai Samay Raina poore YoutubeIndia ko cancel karwa ke hi maanega (Looks like Samay Raina will stop only after getting the entire YouTubeIndia cancelled)."

What happened on India's Got Latent

In a recent episode of the comedy show, Allahbadia appeared as a judge along with Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani and Apoorva Mukhija aka The Rebel Kid. In the show, judges usually roast contestants to judge their improv skills and Allahbadia chose an uncomfortable and bizarre question to do so.

He questioned, "Would you rather join your parents to finally have sex or watch them have sex every day?" Even Raina was taken off by the question and exclaimed, "What the f*?" Raina asked.

BeerBiceps and Samay Raina's show, which has already been criticised for its insensitive and misogynistic content, has now become the target of a wave of reaction due to the question. Social media users are demanding action against the show's judges and advocating for its suspension.
