The Local Chief Of The ICRC Unravels The Horror Witnessed In Gaze Following The Attack

Amidst the ongoing conflict in Gaza, William Schomburg, the local chief for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), revealed calamitous scenes in the Gaza Strip following a recent attack by Israeli forces. He further gave the details suggesting that the explosion happened at around 3:30 pm on Friday, aimed directly towards Hamas infrastructure. The building walls were considerably damaged with so far 42 deaths reported due to the attack.

William Schomburg’s Statement On The Attack

William Schomburg further said on the incident, “There were piles of dead bodies, blood everywhere”, depicting the horror in Gaza. The attack directly affected the Red Cross Compound which is situated south of a humanitarian zone constructed by the Israeli military. Many wounded individuals were taken to the Red Cross field hospital for immediate medical care and aid.

Investigation Of The Direct Attack On The Red Cross Facility

Schomburg further said that he hadn’t seen an attack as fearsome, chaotic, and devastating like this before, and recalled that there were body parts around the Red Cross Compound. The investigation is still going on if the Israeli Defence Forces intended to directly attack the Red Cross Facility as the IDF has so far rejected this claim.

Protestors Criticise PM Benjamin Netanyahu Amidst War In Gaza

This attack by the Israeli forces killing 42 people, was followed by an attack the day before where 25 people were killed and 50 people were injured. Since the attack, thousands of protesters from Tel Aviv are demanding a new set of selections in criticism of current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. They are demanding the return of hostages held in Gaza.
