Pm Modi’s Visit Accompanied By Tight Security

After coming to power in the Central Government for a third consecutive term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to make a trip to Jammu and Kashmir for a two-day event on June 20. The visit is motivated by the intention to inaugurate multiple development projects in J&K. Security in the region is tight as the PM pays a visit in the wake of three terror attack incidents in the region. This is the Prime Minister’s first visit to J&K after the abrogation of Article 370 of 2019 in March this year.

Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K’ And The 10th International Day Of Yoga

On Thursday, June 20, PM Modi will participate in the event called ‘Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K’, at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar, which he claims to be a ‘pivotal moment’ for the region. He will also launch the Competitive Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP). Furthermore, on Friday, June 21, on the occasion of the International Day of Yoga(IDY), he will hold the 10th IDY event at the SKICC in Srinagar.

Laying The Foundation Stone For Development

Upon his visit, PM Modi plans to inaugurate a total of 84 major development projects appertaining infrastructure, education, water supply, roads, etc. with a total worth of Rs. 1500 crore. The laying of the foundation stone for the development plan includes the upgradation of the Chenani-Patnitop-Nashri section, the development of industrial sectors, and the construction of six government degree colleges. These steps are taken in order to empower and inspire youth and boost better transportation and connectivity.
