Arrests and Charges Against Lakhbir Singh Landa’s Group Members
Three criminals connected to Lakhbir Singh Landa’s Group, a terrorist organization operating in Canada, have been arrested by Jalandhar Commissionerate police. The individuals arrested are Jagroop Singh, also known as Joopa, Bhupinder Singh, also known as Bunty, and Gurpreet Singh, also known as Gopy. Earlier Sections 25/27 of the Arms Act and Sections 307, 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) were registered, Sections 386, 387, and 120B of the IPC were added.

Confession and Criminal Activities of Gurpreet Singh and Associates
According to CP Sharma, Gurpreet Singh was arrested by the police after he admitted to getting involved with Yadwinder Singh, also known as Yada, and Lakhbir Landa after quitting his studies. He also added that Gurpreet Singh and his associates in Tarn Taran had committed serious crimes including robbery, extortion, illegal arms, and being involved in multiple shooting incidents that targeted well-known figures in the city.
International Connections and Criminal Allegations
The Commissioner of Police claimed that they were ordered by people in other countries to kill off gang members who were competing with them. Additionally, he stated that they were implicated in 35 criminal instances involving the international smuggling of narcotics and weapons.
According to Swapan Sharma, more investigation into the matter has begun and the suspects have been booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
The Incident
At a press conference held , Commissioner of Police Swapan Sharma said Jatinder Singh, a security guard at Kohli Sports Private Limited in the Leather Complex, had reported that on June 3 at approximately 5:15 am, two individuals arrived through the main gate on a motorcycle, and one of them fired at him in an apparent attempt to murder him.
