Under recent guidelines issued, changes have been made in the airport rules, that might directly affect passengers traveling to Dubai. A list of prohibited items has been released, to ensure complete safety. It is recommended that passengers ensure they don’t mistakenly carry items mentioned in the list or items considered illegal. In violation of these guidelines, passengers may be held to face legal complications.

List Of Restricted Items

The list includes a prohibition on accompanying narcotics like cocaine, heroin, and cannabis, along with betel leaves, ivory, gambling tools, and goods on boycotts from countries. Furthermore, counterfeit currency, artworks, non-vegetarian dishes, and printed materials are also restricted. There are items listed that require prior payment and clearance before being bought into the country, which include plants, fertilizers, specific medications and medical equipment, electronic devices, cosmetics, e-cigarettes, books, and alcoholic beverages. Restricted medications include amphetamine, codeine, codoxime, methadone, opium, oxycodone, and alpha-methylfentanyl. Any set of passengers traveling to Dubai must be familiarized with these new rules.
