Do you believe in life after death? If this is the case, then all of the ghost stories we’ve heard throughout our lives could be true! Alternatively, some of them may be correct.

We’ve all heard a ghost story or two, and these spine-chilling accounts that people claim to be true are terrifying, aren’t they? As a result, we’ve compiled a list of 5 haunted locations in India that are not for the faint of heart!

  • Dumas Black Sand Beach, Surat

Dumas Beach in Gujarat has a foreboding ring to it already. As a result, it’s no surprise that it’s considered one of India’s most haunted places. Surat, one of the state’s more developed cities, is very close to this beach. Because legend has it, the fierce winds come with whispers, this beach attracts a large number of visitors almost every day. In fact, it is believed that many people have died here. This beach is also thought to have been used as a Hindu burial ground in the past, serving as a resting place for tortured souls. There have also been reports of people mysteriously going missing and never being found.

  • Bhangarh Fort, Ajabgarh

The Indian Ghost Town of Bhangarh, Rajasthan, is one of the scariest and most abandoned places to visit in India. This moniker, however, hasn’t stopped visitors from returning to this ghost town on a regular basis. This town, which is situated near a well-known forest in the area, is gradually attracting visitors from all over the region and country. It should be noted, however, that visiting the town after sunset is not permitted. Indeed, there is a strict warning that it is off-limits after the sun sets.

  • Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad

In Hyderabad, there is a large film city (similar to Universal Studios), and the hotels in Ramoji film city are haunted. According to legend, the film city was built on the war grounds of the Nizam sultans. Witnesses report that the lights on top keep falling off, that the light men those who sit with the lights on top have been repeatedly pushed, and that many have suffered serious injuries. Food is scattered throughout the rooms, and strange marks, some script.. resembling Urdu.. the language spoken by the sultans, are left on the mirror. They are causing so much trouble for the girls that they are tearing their clothes and knocking on the bathroom doors while the outside doors are locked. They wreak havoc.

  • Dow Hill in Kurseong, Darjeeling

Dow Hill in Kurseong, Darjeeling is not an abandoned location in India, but it is unquestionably one of the most haunted locations in India. This small township is well-known for being home to some of the best boarding schools in West Bengal. The Dow Hill Boarding School for Girls is said to be the epicentre of supernatural activity. Several reports of hauntings in the school’s corridors have surfaced. Furthermore, it is said that the forest that surrounds the school is haunted. Many woodsmen who visit the forest claim to have seen a headless boy who appears and then disappears into the woods. According to legend, many murders occurred in this forest area.
