According to sources on Tuesday, Maharashtra Caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was taken to a hospital in Thane after his health showed no improvement. Shinde, who has been struggling with a throat infection and fever from 1 week go through a thorough examination as advised by doctors.

Despite the health scare, the Shiv Sena leader smiled and said, "badhiya hai [all good]," responding to media queries.

Health Issues and Hospital Visit

Eknath Shinde, who has been suffering from a fever and a recurring throat infection, sought medical attention after his health did not get better over the course of the week. Although reports indicated no immediate worries, the 60-year-old Maharashtra CM was admitted to a hospital in Thane for a thorough examination.

Shinde gave a comforting statement to the media, emphasizing that he was in good health and recovering despite the illness. The incident happened after he first became ill following his trip to his native village in Satara. 

Shinde's Brief Retreat Amid Political Speculations

Last Friday, Shinde visited his hometown of Satara, amid rumors suggesting his dissatisfaction with the emerging political situation in Maharashtra. Speculation grew that he was dissatisfied with not being able to serve a second term as Chief Minister.

However, Shinde clarified that his visit was only there to relax following a strenuous election campaign. He attributed the fever to exhaustion rather than political discontent, dispelling any claims of unrest within the Mahayuti alliance or the Shiv Sena. 

Political Preparations Continue Despite Health Setback

Political preparations for the imminent swearing-in ceremony of the new Mahayuti government in Maharashtra re under way while Shinde concentrates on his recuperation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is anticipated to attend the ceremony scheduled for December 5. 

Although Devendra Fadnavis, the leader of the BJP, is seen as the front-runner for the Chief Minister position, the Mahayuti alliance has yet to announce any names officially. The final decision will be made at a meeting of the state BJP legislature party on December 4.

Shinde and Mahajan Discuss Future Plans

On Monday, BJP leader Girish Mahajan met with Eknath Shinde in a show of unity. Mahajan confirmed that there were no disagreements between the leaders of the Mahayuti alliance. The two leaders reiterated their dedication to working together for the Maharashtra's citizens.

Additionally, Mahajan stated that Shinde was recovering well from his illness and that there were no significant health issues.
