Heeraben Modi passed away at 100; PM Modi carries mortal remains of his late mother

Heeraben Modi, the mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, passed away early on Friday morning at the hospital where she was getting care for age-related issues.

In order to say goodbye to his mother Heeraben Modi, who died on Friday at the age of 99, Prime Minister Narendra Modi travelled to Ahmedabad on Friday. PM Modi brought the lifeless remains to the cremation after paying his last respects to his mother at her Gandhinagar home.

Her mother passed away earlier today, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a heartfelt tribute on social media. According to the prime minister, she embodied the trinity of an ascetic’s path, a selfless doer, and a life dedicated to principles. When he first saw her on her 100th birthday, PM Modi recalled that she had advised him to “work with knowledge and live life with purity.”

The news of her passing was reported in a bulletin from the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre, where she was taken on Wednesday when her condition began to worsen.

The medical report stated that “Hiraben Modi died away on December 30, 2022 at 3.30 am while receiving treatment at U N Mehta Heart Hospital.”

After hearing of Heeraben Modi’s passing, tributes began to arrive from all around the nation. Politicians and celebrities expressed their condolences to Prime Minister Modi and his family on social media.

Heeraben cohabitated with Pankaj Modi, the PM’s younger brother, in the Raysan hamlet outside of Gandhinagar.
