Who Is Minar Hemayat Sardar?

The Surat Police on Sunday, June 22 arrested a Bangladeshi Muslim man, identified as Minar Hemayat Sardar, who was residing in the Surat City of Gujarat as a Hindu citizen. Upon his arrest, the police were able to accumulate fake documents he carried, pretending to be an Indian citizen.

Minar Came To India In 2020, A Fake Aadhaar And Fake  Passport Recovered

Reportedly, the man has been living in India since 2020. After entering India from Bangladesh, he took on an Indian name, Sunil Das, which was used in all his fake documents. He has his fake documents made in West Bengal. These documents included a school certificate from West Bengal, an Aadhaar card, an Indian passport, a Qatar residency permit, and Bangladeshi identification documents.

Minar Used Fake Passport To Travel To Qatar To Work As A Labourer

Later, in 2021, Minar used his fake Indian passport to travel to Qatar, where he worked as a labourer for two years. He returned to Surat, Gujarat in 2023 and had been working there as a construction worker. The police arrested Minar right upon receiving the information about his fake documents. Minar then confessed to his crime during questioning by the police. Investigation around Minar’s criminal record is still in the process by the police.
