In the recent Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Modi secured a convincing victory in the Varanasi constituency, defeating Congress candidate Ajay Rai by a margin of 1,52,513 votes. BJP formed their government in Varanasi happily.

PM Modi Visits Varanasi To Make Important Announcements

On 18th June Narendra Modi Visits Varanasi after winning Lok Sabha elections. It was Narendra Modi’s first official visit after the win. PM Modi has visited Varanasi to make the announcements regarding the release of the 17th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana and the inauguration of the Nalanda University in Rajgir.

PM Kissan Yojana, Beneficiary For Farmers Released

Under the PM Kisan Yojana, PM Modi will release ₹20,000 crores for the beneficiary farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi through Direct Bank Transfer. He is also expected to grant ‘Krishi Sakhi’  certificates to over 30,000 women from Self Help Groups which aims to empower rural India through its women.

Various Ministers Attended The Event

Over 2.5 crore farmers joined the event. The governor of Uttar Pradesh, Anandiben Patel, chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Agriculture minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and several state ministers are expected to attend the event. The event will educate farmers about the good agricultural practices, emerging technologies in the agricultural sector and many other important topics.

PM Modi At Kashi Vishwanath Temple

Later that day the Prime Minister is also expected to darshan and perform the Pooja at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Next, the inauguration ceremony of the Nalanda University will be attended by the Head of Mission of 17 countries. 1600-year-old Nalanda University is a collaboration between India and East Asia Summit(EAS) countries.

PM Modi will spend the night in Varanasi before leaving for Bihar on the morning of 19th June.
