Pankaj’s cousin, Dhananjay Singh, filed a complaint at the Beta-2 police station, shedding light on the events that transpired that fateful day.

Pankaj Singh’s day began like any other. He embarked on his daily commute to work at the Jaypee Greens Golf Course, where he diligently served as a gardener. Departing from his residence in Tugalpur at the break of dawn, Pankaj hopped on his trusty bicycle and set off, aiming to reach the golf course by 4 am. Little did he know that this ordinary morning routine would take a tragic turn, shattering the lives of his loved ones.
A Terrifying Encounter
As Pankaj pedaled his way through the quiet streets of Greater Noida, he had covered approximately 100 meters from Pari Chowk. It was at this point that tragedy struck. A speeding car approached recklessly, colliding with the rear of Pankaj’s bicycle with sheer force. The impact was devastating, and the heartless driver didn’t pause to assess the situation or offer help. Instead, they callously fled the scene, leaving Pankaj severely injured and in desperate need of assistance.
A Heroic Effort Goes in Vain
The collision left Pankaj’s bicycle damaged, lying approximately 10 meters away from him. Bystanders who witnessed the horrific incident rushed to his aid, recognizing the severity of the situation. They immediately called for an ambulance and did their best to comfort Pankaj while awaiting medical assistance. Despite their valiant efforts and the prompt response of the emergency services, Pankaj’s injuries proved to be fatal. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, leaving his family and the community in shock and sorrow.

Dhananjay Singh, Pankaj’s cousin, received the devastating news from the hospital. He, too, resides in Tugalpur and works at a factory in Surajpur. The hospital staff used Pankaj’s mobile phone to reach out to Dhananjay and inform him about the tragic outcome of the hit-and-run incident. The news was a gut-wrenching blow to the family, as they grappled with the sudden loss of their beloved relative.
Seeking Justice for Pankaj
In the wake of this horrific incident, Dhananjay Singh took it upon himself to seek justice for his cousin. He filed a formal complaint at the Beta-2 police station, providing a detailed account of the hit-and-run incident. The police acted swiftly, registering a First Information Report (FIR) against the unidentified individual responsible for the accident. The charges levied against the perpetrator include sections 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public way), 304-A (Causing death by negligence), and 427 (Mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees) of the Indian Penal Code.

Vinod Mishra, the in-charge of the Beta-2 police station, assured the grieving family and the community that the police were leaving no stone unturned in their quest to bring the culprit to justice. They initiated a thorough investigation, including the review of CCTV footage from the area where the incident occurred. Identifying the vehicle and arresting the driver responsible for Pankaj Singh’s untimely demise became the top priority for law enforcement.
