Two Militants Get Killed In Kashmir Pulwama Encounter, Among Let -Commander

In a significant encounter-terrorism operation, security forces in Kashmir neutralized two militants, including a top commander of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) on June 3, 2024. The encounter, which took place in the remote village of south Kashmir’s, Pulwama district, marks a substantial flash to the terror outfit’s operational capabilities in the region.

The Encounter According to police sources, the operation was launched following specific intelligence inputs about the presence of militants in the area. The encounter began late in the evening, with security forces cordoning off the suspected hideout and engaging in an intense firefight that lasted several hours. The two militants killed in the encounter were identified as Riyaz Ahmad Dar and Rayees Ahmad. Rayees Ahmad, the second militant, was a relatively new recruit but had quickly risen through the ranks due to his operational skills and dedication to the cause.
