Tragic Incident Caught on Camera

A tragic accident occurred in Maharashtra when a woman accidentally reversed her car off a cliff, resulting in a dangerous and fatal fall of 300 feet. The entire incident was recorded by her friend, who was filming her as she was learning to drive.

The Victim: Shweta Deepak Surwase

The victim, 23-year-old Shweta Deepak Surwase, was in the driver’s seat while her friend, Suraj Sanjau Mule, 25, recorded a video of her. The two friends had travelled from Aurangabad to Sulibhanjan Hills on Monday afternoon.

The Accident

Around 2 pm, Ms Surwase got into the car and started reversing it slowly. The video shows the car initially 50 meters away from the cliff. However, as she continued backing up, the car’s speed increased. Her friend warned her to slow down, shouting, “Clutch, clutch, clutch.” Despite his efforts to stop her, the car fell from the cliff resulting in the death of Ms Surwase.

Witness Accounts

Witnesses said the car rolled down the 300-foot-high cliff and fell into the gorge. Pictures showed the smashed car at the bottom of the gorge.

Popular Tourist Spot

The friends were visiting the area near the Dattatreya temple in Sulibhanjan. During the rainy season, the Sulibhanjan hills attract many tourists who come to enjoy the magnificent scenery.

This heartbreaking incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety while driving, especially in challenging terrains.
