Sunrisers is the IPL 2024 Orange Cap Holder. Travis Head of Hyderabad made history on Thursday by scoring an incredible 89 runs against the Lucknow Super Giants, surpassing both Sunil Narine and Sanju Samson to move up to third place in the season's run total.
Head and Abhishek Sharma worked together to finish the 166-run chase in 9.4 overs with all ten wickets remaining.
During Tuesday's encounter against Delhi Capitals, captain Sanju Samson of the Rajasthan Royals once again found himself among the top five run scorers of the ongoing Indian Premier League season. After hitting eight fours and six maximums in a knock of 86 off 46 balls, Samson was out.

Virat Kohli stormed to the top of the IPL 2024 run scorers chart on Saturday at the Chinnaswamy Stadium with a 27-ball, 42-run performance in Royal Challengers Bengaluru's four-wicket victory over the Gujarat Titans. After his innings, Kohli moved captain Ruturaj Gaikwad of the Chennai Super Kings to second place. Gaikwad had overtaken Virat Kohli to take the top spot on the batting statistics on Wednesday.
Shubman Gill, the captain of the Gujarat Titans now, won the Orange Cap last season with 890 runs. Devon Conway of the Chennai Super Kings and Faf du Plessis of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, both with 730 and 672 points, came after him. Virat Kohli of the RCB was ranked fourth with 639, while Yashasvi Jaiswal was ranked fifth with 625.
