This is PM Narendra Modi's first visit to Jammu and Kashmir after taking charge as the prime minister for the third time consecutively. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. There has been news that PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation for 84 major development projects worth over Rs 1,500 crore. He will also distribute 2000 appointment letters and will interact with the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
Inauguration Of Developmental Projects Announced By PM
The inaugurations will include projects related to road infrastructure, water supply schemes, and infrastructure in higher education, etc. PM Modi will also launch the Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors (JKCIP) Project worth Rs 1,800 crore. The project will be implemented in 90 blocks across 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir, and will have the project outreach of 300,000 households covering 15 lakh beneficiaries.
PM Modi Will Address The Youth Of J&K

On Thursday at 6pm, the Prime Minister will participate in the 'Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K' event at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar. Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for projects like improvement of the Chenani-Patnitop-Nashri section, development of industrial estates and construction of six government degree colleges.
PM Will Celebrate Yoga Day On The Banks Of Dal Lake, Security Tightened
On the occasion of International Yoga Day on 21st June, PM Modi will lead the 10th International Day of Yoga event at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar. More than 7,000 participants will join PM Modi in performing Yoga on Friday on the banks of picturesque Dal Lake. Security across Jammu and Kashmir was heightened in preparation of the prime minister's visit on Thursday.
