On the 13th of May, in the morning Delhi police received a call from the residence of CM Arvind Kejriwal, claiming to be Swati Maliwal, the leader of (AAP) Aam Aadmi Party MP and former CM of Delhi. As per the sources, Delhi police had received 2 calls around 9:34 Am from a woman who claimed that she was Swati Maliwal, who was asked to meet CM Arvind Kejriwal at his house at Civil Lines, New Delhi and while she was waiting there, she was assaulted by his PA Bibhav Kumar.

The authenticity of this news is not yet proven, Delhi Police is still investigating the call and working on this case. During this phase of upcoming elections where Arvind Kejriwal has just been released from Tihar jail and was getting back to politics, this case of assault at his house has emerged again to spoil his name and to lower his chances of losing his seat in politics.

While today morning in a joint conference of CM Arvind Kejriwal with Akhilesh Yadav held in Lucknow, when Akhilesh Yadav was asked about Swati Maliwal’s assault case, he refused to give any comments over it while Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav sitting next to him replied, ” There are other much important affairs to look into.” This silence of Arvind Kejriwal and the statement of Akhilesh Yadav have made the people more confused and have triggered the situation.

As a political leader, it was the responsibility of Arvind Kejriwal to clear things up as early as possible and to take a stand over this case. Avoiding such important questions at a live conference and letting the question pass on does not make any sense and will only tarnish his image and may reduce his chances of winning elections this time.

So here comes the quest, is this a real incident or just a strategy to be in the eye of the public or to defame Arvind Kejriwal and for that Delhi police needs to investigate this case and to reach a conclusion at the earliest so the public will come to know about the facts and Swati Maliwal will get justice. So, stay connected with #attentionindia to get updated on this case.
