A day after the Rubika Liyaquat tweet on Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Chamcha’ comment went viral, Rahul Gandhi once again called the people who interviewed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as ‘Chamchas’ of the Prime Minister. He further attacked the Prime Minister for his ‘Biological’ comment in an interview with Rubika Liyaquat.

On May 26th Rubika Liyaquat had called out Rahul Gandhi for calling journalists ‘Chamchas’ in his rally speeches saying he is in an election fight against PM Modi and not journalists. Her response went viral with both sides of the political aisle making memes.

Apart from the ‘Chamcha’ comment, Rahul Gandhi also attacked PM Modi on the comments of Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) leaders saying they will change the constitution. He talked about the unemployment crisis in the country and the promise to raise wages for labourers, Anganwadi workers. He also talked about the ‘Pehli Naukri Pakki’ Scheme and the safeguarding of reservation. He talked about the safeguarding of the constitution and claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP want to bring back the rule of kings(while referring to big industrialists) and taking away the rights of minorities and the weaker sections of the society.

His comments once again reflected how the ongoing 2024 Lok Sabha Election has not stayed limited to the national issues but has gotten to the level of personal attacks. What reactions will the comments of Rahul Gandhi bring from Rubika Liyaquat and other journalists remains to be seen. He has been relentlessly attacking them because he believes they are not doing their job.

The rally was conducted with Tejashwi Yadav and other INDI Alliance leaders campaigning for the Phase 7 of the elections to be held on June 1st 2024. The results of  the 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be announced on June 4th 2024.
