Shweta Roy Joins the Prestigious Advisory Board of Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival

Ltd., to its vaunted Advisory Board. This occasion reflects an intersection of empowerment, leadership, cultural stewardship and creative vision – all states that DPIFF is thrilled to celebrate as part of its commitment to honor and elevate Indian art and culture to the world stage.

With the inspiration from most iconic father of Indian cinema doingbe phalkeji, DPIFF has grown to become an influential figure in recognizing and honuring artistic work of Indian talent with national pride. While showcasing the world wide face of contemporary Indian Cinema, the festival has focused at presenting to film buffs the best of cinema from India, as well as create a platform for Indian directors and producers who must be seen side by side with World’s masters.

Shweta Roy, an acclaimed entrepreneur and advocate for women’s empowerment, is the Founder and Managing Director of SR Queens Media Pvt. The addition of Shweta Roy checks a new box in the festival’s evolution and how it is embracing empowerment, diversity and cultural representation meaningfully, while making a stronger impact internationally.

Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2025 is all set to be held on October 29th and October 30th in Mumbai in honour of a decade full of great movies. The historic edition will include curated short film screenings, masterclasses with eminent industry experts and panel discussions on the future of Indian cinema, in addition to a cultural exhibit showcasing the country’s rich storytelling traditions.
