Two young students, Vishwa 22 years old and Surya 18 years old lost their lives in a car-truck accident on the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway. Both students were from Bommasandra in Bengaluru.
The accident occurred on Friday night near Kempainadoddi village in Ramanagara. The students were returning from Mysuru in an SUV, it was driven by Suhas when their vehicle collided with a truck which was in the wrong lane.
Vishwa who was 22 years old, was a diploma student from Bengaluru and Surya 18 years old who was in second-year Pre-University student in Bengaluru.
Both students were rushed to the nearest hospital but were declared dead on arrival. The driver, Suhas, sustained serious injuries but is currently out of danger, according to a senior traffic police official.
A case has been registered under sections 297 (Rash driving or riding on a public way) and 304A (Causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code. The truck driver responsible for the accident has been arrested.
The police officially confirmed by stating “A case has been registered under sections 297 and 304A of the Indian Penal Code and the accused truck driver has been arrested in connection with the accident”.
This tragic incident highlights the dangers of rash driving and the importance of road safety. The loss of Vishwa and Surya is a shocking tragedy for their families and community.
