Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming film Mili has received its first trailer. Boney Kapoor, her father, produced the film, which is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam hit Helen. On November 4th, Mili will be released in theatres.
Mili’s everyday life is depicted in the teaser, replete with a loving father and a cute lover. She works at a local restaurant and hopes to move to Canada for a brighter future. However, she became imprisoned inside her restaurant’s cold storage one day. Mili does everything she can to protect herself when the temperature goes below -17 degrees Celsius. Outside, her father and boyfriend are desperately seeking her.
The film, directed by National Award winner Mathukutty Xavier, also stars Sunny Kaushal and Manoj Pahwa. Janhvi Kapoor released some images from the sets of Mili and written a greeting for the team and her dearest ‘Papa’ in 2021.
“It’s all over now! #Milli My first film with father, about whom I had only heard legends my entire life as a producer. But after working with you, I can say that with confidence!! I completely understand when people say you put your heart and soul into each film you work on. That’s not the only reason this project means so much to me; it’s been an incredible journey to collaborate with someone as consumed by his focus and love of cinema as @mathukuttyxavier sir.”
With Dhadak, Janhvi made her acting debut in 2018. She has since appeared in other films, including Ghost Stories, Gunjan Saxena, The Kargil Girl, Roohi, and Good Luck Jerry. She will next be seen in Rajkummar Rao’s Mr. and Mrs. Mahi.
